1st Step
Collect Utility Usage Data
For at least 36 months
This data allows us to assess your building’s energy consumption rate and identify seasonal trends.
During the site visit, we will evaluate the building envelope, lighting, HVAC, domestic water use, and potential improvement areas.
We will also review available building plans, information, and staff interviews to get a better understanding of how your facility functions as a system.
Energy Audit Report
Unveiling Cost-Effective Conservation Strategies
The audit report will outline Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs), their projected implementation costs, expected lifetimes, and the corresponding estimated energy usage. We will also provide you with recommendations for implementing the most cost-effective ECMs.

How We Conduct Our Energy Audits:

Data Collection and Analysis
Prior to the site visit, gather utility usage data for a minimum of 36 months. This step is crucial to assess the building’s energy consumption rate and examine seasonal energy usage trends.

Comprehensive Site Evaluation
During the site visit, conduct a thorough assessment of various aspects of the building. This includes evaluating the building envelope, lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and domestic water use. Focus on identifying potential areas for improvements and energy conservation.

Detailed Reporting and Planning
Post-evaluation, compile a comprehensive study outlining Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs). This report will detail the projected implementation costs, expected lifetimes of the ECMs, and their corresponding estimated energy savings. To enhance the accuracy of the report, review available building plans, gather information, and conduct staff interviews to understand how the facility functions as a system.
Energy Auditing Includes
ECOcentrix is skilled in the proper use of energy auditing technologies, such as combustion analysis tools, blower doors, duct blasters, and infrared cameras. For existing buildings, we provide the following services:
- Using evaluations of building data and utility usage (bills), identify trends.
- Based on evaluations of building operations and current energy conservation guidelines, independent suggestions of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) that are executed in order of payback period are made.
- Projections of the expenses of each suggested ECM, as well as the annual savings from doing so
- Estimation of each ECM's payback period and all associated costs
- Analysis of conventional and cutting-edge energy generation and saving technologies, including cost-versus-savings analysis to determine which technologies, if any, are cost-effective
